What are Helen P. Jewelry made out of?

All of the metal we carry are made of 14k gold filled or sterling silver (.925), vermeil or solid 14k gold or 14k white gold. Metal options and types are mentioned under details.

What is 14k gold filled or gold filled?

Gold fill is a great alternative to solid gold jewelry. It is a pressure bonded layer of gold that has 100 more gold than plated and does not tarnish as easily. The term "Gold filled" is a regulated industry standard that requires the jewelry's metal to consist of at least 5% solid gold by weight. The characteristics  of gold filled make it a beautiful, durable, and economical alternative to solid gold, that will last years if cared for properly.

What is the processing or production time?

Orders usually take 10-15 business days to process and produce, but production time typically increases during sales, product releases, and holidays. Please keep in mind that we are a small business and create everything by hand, just for you!

How do I know which size to order?

To find your necklace or bracelet size, please follow some of our tips below or click here to view our Size Guide and charts.

For Necklaces:

  1. Choose where you would like your coin or pendant on your chest.
  2. Take a piece of string like twine, or floss if you don't have that and hold this around your neck at your desired length.
  3. Take the string, then measure it with a ruler or tape measure.

For Bracelets:

  1. Take a piece of string like twine, or floss if you don't have other string forms and gold this around your wrist on where you would normally wear your bracelet or where you would like your bracelet.
  2. Then take the string and measure this with a ruler or tape measure.
  3. Please be sure to measure at least a 1/2 size up if you are working with a bracelet that may have larger beads, as larger beads will shrink the size of your bracelet.

***If you have a fabric measurer, this works fantastic for finding your desired size for both necklace and bracelets.

Will Helen P. Jewelry tarnish?

With proper care, our highest quality metals that are made up of 14k gold filled and sterling silver (.925) jewelry will last for years. However, with all jewelry pieces plated or filled it should all be treated the same way to keep it looking brand new longer. Main things to remember is to avoid submerging your jewelry in water and to keep it away from chemicals, perfumes, lotions. Our recommendation is to keep your jewelry in the zip lock bag provided or away from other metals to keep the jewelry from tarnishing or oxidizing.

How are the crystals selected and where do you source your crystals?

Our signature range of raw wrap crystals feature hand selected crystals sourced from all over the world. All crystals are selected with the highest quality and  each are selected intuitively for each person, please keep in mind that not every two crystal are the same.

Each piece is hand drilled and wrapped minimally to showcase the beauty within the crystals.

Will Helen P. Jewelry bracelets stretch out?

The bracelets will have minimal stretching if you are gentle with putting them off and taking them off one at a time. Never yank them off or pull them away from the hand or wall while removing. I like to call it “Peeling them off your hand one at a time.”
